Keyword field optimizer

Apple's keyword field is exactly 100 characters, separated by commas with no spaces. Paste your keyword list — and, optionally, your title and subtitle — and this tool rewrites everything into one clean field: it removes words already indexed by your title or subtitle, strips filler words and duplicates, and trims the rest to fit. Copy it straight into App Store Connect.

Separate terms with commas, spaces, or new lines. Paste a messy list — that's the point.
Optimized keyword field 0 / 100

Paste a list of keywords and we'll clean it into an App Store keyword field — removing anything already in your title or subtitle, plus filler words and duplicates.

Everything runs in your browser — nothing you paste is uploaded or stored. Characters are counted by Unicode code point, the way App Store Connect counts them.

What it does

From a messy list to a clean keyword field

The keyword field is the most misformatted field in all of App Store metadata. Here's exactly what the tool fixes — and why each one matters for how Apple indexes your app.

Spaces become commas

Apple separates keywords with a single comma and nothing else: budget, planner, tracker. Every space after a comma costs one of your 100 characters and indexes nothing, so the tool strips them all — and splits multi-word phrases into single words while it's at it.

Title & subtitle words removed

Add your title and subtitle and the tool drops any keyword they already cover. Apple indexes those fields and combines them automatically, so repeating a word here just wastes characters.

Filler & duplicates stripped

Low-value connectors like and, the, your, new and app are removed, along with any word that repeats. Every freed character goes to a term that can actually rank.

Trimmed to 100

If the list is still too long, the tool keeps your keywords in the order you entered them and drops the ones at the end that don't fit — so put your most important terms first. It always shows you what was left out.

FAQ

Keyword field questions, answered

How should keywords be formatted in the App Store keyword field?

Separate keywords with a single comma and no space — budget, planner, tracker. Every character counts toward the 100-character limit, so spaces after commas are wasted. Paste your list in any format and the tool rewrites it as a clean, comma-separated, space-free field.

Why does it remove words already in my title and subtitle?

Apple already indexes every word in your name and subtitle, and it automatically combines words across all three fields to form search phrases. Repeating a word you've already used wastes characters in the 100-character field without adding any new keyword. Add your title and subtitle and the tool strips anything they already cover — and shows you which words those were.

What counts as a filler word?

Filler words are low-value terms that don't help you rank — connectors and generic words such as a, and, the, for, with, your, new, get and app. Apple ignores most of them, so the tool removes them to make room for real search terms.

What happens when my list is longer than 100 characters?

The tool trims to fit by keeping your keywords in the order you entered them and dropping the ones at the end that no longer fit. List your most important keywords first — and the tool shows you exactly which terms were left out so you can decide what to keep or swap.

Should I include spaces or multi-word phrases?

No. Apple combines the individual words across your name, subtitle and keyword field to form search phrases, so you only need single words. The tool splits any phrase into separate keywords and removes the spaces — which is why fitness tracker becomes fitness, tracker.

Is anything I paste into this tool stored or sent anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste is uploaded, logged or sent to any server — close the tab and it's gone.
